Ride an old steam train on this preserved railway line between Rowsley South Station and Matlock platform 2. All day unlimited price - adults £9.50 children (age 3-16) £4.50 return. Under 3 free. A return trip takes 50 minutes

Just up the road, this is a must visit (and also a must book ahead as it gets very popular in high season!). Ride the steam trains through Darley Dale to Matlock and back. Volunteer/enthusiast run, they work so hard to keep steam heritage alive in the Dale. Keep an eye on their social media and website for their themed train rides and weekends (1940s weekend, Christmas train rides etc).

This steam train route owned and managed by Peak Rail returns to Rowsley via Matlock and is a great trip out for the family. DE4 2LF. 4.1 miles from the flat. The train can also be caught from Matlock Railway Station. DE4 3NA, 0.3 miles from the flat.
