See what Kansas looked like when the Native Americans were here, including herds of buffalo.

This area of McPherson County is absolutely gorgeous and totally unexpected to visitors. The Maxwell Wildlife refuge offers semi-regular tours of their property which features large bison and elk herds. There is a cool observation tower you can hike up anytime and it's a just an awesome place to go unplug for a little bit!
