The Temple of Demeter in Sangri Naxos: The Temple of Demeter on Naxos is located near the village of Sangri. This magnificent temple has been made of the finest quality of Naxos marble and is believed to date back to the 6th century BC. As Demeter was the ancient goddess of grain, people used to build temples to her close to fertile areas. Such a fertile ground is found around the village of Sangri, on Naxos. Underneath the temple is located the archaeological museum of Giroulas in Sangri Extra Tips: *30 minutes distance from Naxos center * you can approach the temple area by using: car / motorbike or daily tours with bus *The temple is open until 16:00 am *every Tuesday is closed *don't forget your hat and your water * entrance fee 5 euro

Ο Ναός της Δήμητρας στο Σαγκρί Νάξου: Ο Ναός της Δήμητρας στη Νάξο βρίσκεται κοντά στο χωριό Σαγκρί. Αυτός ο υπέροχος ναός έχει κατασκευαστεί από άριστης ποιότητας μάρμαρο Νάξου και πιστεύεται ότι χρονολογείται από τον 6ο αιώνα π.Χ. Καθώς η Δήμητρα ήταν η αρχαία θεά των σιτηρών, οι άνθρωποι συνήθιζαν να έχτιζαν ναούς κοντά της κοντά σε εύφορες περιοχές. Ένα τέτοιο γόνιμο έδαφος βρίσκεται γύρω από το χωριό Σαγκρί της Νάξου. Μια επίσκεψη στου μουσείο Γύρουλα, το οποίο βρίσκεται κάτω από το ναό και ανάμεσα στα εκθέματά του διαθέτει τμήματα αγαλμάτων και αφιερωμάτων του ναού, όπως επίσης μια αναπαράσταση της τρίκλιτης βασιλικής. Το μουσείο Γύρουλα έχει βραβευθεί πολλές φορές για τον άψογο τρόπο, με τον οποίο εναρμονίζεται με το φυσικό του περιβάλλον.
