Museum of Paul J. Getty with breathtaking views. Parking is expensive but entrance is free.
The Getty Center, in Los Angeles, California, is a campus of the Getty Museum and other programs of the Getty Trust. The $1.3 billion Center opened to the public on December 16, 1997 and is well known for its architecture, gardens, and views overlooking Los Angeles. Its free, but might need to reserve at their website
Famous, sizable free museum highlighting American & European art, architecture & manicured gardens.
There are two locations for the Getty Museums in LA. Personally I love this one more because the garden is bigger and there are more contemporary arts. This location is also closer to the city and it is a very great place for picnic.
