~Take a walk around Lake Junaluska in Waynesville, Nc. This is one of my favorite things to do! Lake Junaluska offers a wonderful and serene 3.8 mile walking trail that circles the lake. You can shorten the loop to 2.3 miles by crossing the Turbeville Footbridge and the bridge above the dam. The entire trail is paved and mostly flat making it ideal for families. You’ll enjoy the stunning mountain vistas that surround the lake on all sides as well as the abundant charm Lake Junaluska offers. Plenty of wonderful spots for picnics and children can bring their bikes/scooters/strollers. The kiddos will see ducks and swans along the way! There is also a public pool there as well.

200 acre lake with boat tours, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, pool, 18 hole golf course, shuffle board, 16 gardens, a beautiful walk around lake and so much more. * Valid NC license is required for fishing
