A little known to tourists area is at the end of 64th ST. There's a 2 mile road that you can drive down and take in the Spanish moss and wildlife that ends at Linkhorn Bay. There's parking and a boat launch. There are trails and a beachfront which is great for kids and pets. It's usually free but may be a small fee in the high season.

If you travel down to Virginia Beach this is a great place to bike and has some nice beaches.
