Deer Lake Park is situated in a peaceful natural environment that serves as the cultural centre of Burnaby. Leisurely walking trails with scenic views connect the lake, Burnaby Art Gallery, Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, Burnaby Village Museum and Hart House restaurant.
Deer Lake Park is Burnaby's urban park and serves as the cultural and recreation center for Burnaby. You'll find trails for hiking, and scenic viewpoints. In the park you will also find the Burnaby Art Gallery, Shadbolt Center for the arts and the Burnaby Village Museum.
Great place to go for a walk or jog. You can also bring the family for a picnic, and paddle boating.
Deer Lake Park offers a nice, flat, and easy walk that circles the lake and passes by a beach area, a viewing tower, and pier, all offering great scenery. The trails are accessible all year and are popular with residents walking dogs or just out for an afternoon stroll through the park.
Very peaceful park right in the middle of the city with a nice gravel trail that can take you anywhere between 1-1 1/2 hours to complete with canoe and pedal boat rentals available. There is also a Burnaby Village Museum free of charge that offers rides on historic carousel.
