Because we have water in the desert! A huge lake full of fish if you desire to cast a rod out and test your luck and share your tales. You can rent boats at the marina for another fun filled activity. The drive to the lake is breathtaking and tummy tickling to say the least. When you crest the desert hills full of cactus and palo verde trees, the view of the lake is stunning. I recommend a drive out if nothing else. There is a small cafe/restaurant just before the marina and is a great stopping place for lunch. Watch your speed on the road in, it is lower than you think and the Ranger out there will remind you of that too with a certificate of speed merit. Go slow and enjoy the views.

Bartlett Lake is a great place to cool off. You can rent kayaks and Paddle Boards and explore the lakes many coves.
