The Whale Museum bears witness to the entire history of whaling and the activities associated with it. In my opinion one of the most interesting museums of Madeira.

Located in Caniçal, the Whale Museum tells the history of whale hunting and industry in Madeira. The museum houses a collection that includes utensils, whales and dolphins in life-size models and 3D movies. Scientific research projects are also promoted by this institution with the aim of protecting marine life around the archipelago.

visit and learn from our whales. there is also a coffee shop with good coffee and snaks,they are very friendy aswell. the coffee shop offers you a lovely varanda with a fantastic view
