It's an alley between Harrison and Treat on 24th that has about 30 or 40 murals in it. First started in the 1970s by the Chicanos in the Mission. It began with the Chicano Civil Rights Movement as a way for people to reconnect with the muralist movement in Mexico and instill Mexican-American pride. It's just continued to expand over time, and now it's become a tourist destination in its own right. The entire project is a tribute to the Mexican muralist movement of Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and José Clemente Orozco.

Nearby murals on Balmy, but you will see murals all throughout 24th St as well.
Very close by in the Mission district. Take a short walk to see some local murals. Then explore the restaurants nearby. (Humphry Slocombe ice cream is terrific.)
iconic and latin cultural cobblestoned alley that has many neighborhood murals to take pictures of
Every house on this street has beautiful, culturally significant murals painted on the back of it. If you're interested in the details, Precita Eyes at 2981 24th Street offers tours. (Their tours are about 2 hours and take you down a few historically/socially relevant blocks.)
