Houghton (45 min. drive). You don't have to be a geologist to enjoy your visit here. Learn about the unique geological history of the Keweenaw and be dazzled by this gem and mineral collection.

This little museum is perfect on a rainy day or when your kids refuse any more hikes. Rocks from all over the world, but with an especially impressive display of Keweenaw geology. The gift shop is pretty awesome, too!
