5km walk each way from Waitangi to Haruru falls and back. Walk takes approx 2 hrs. Also not bad for a jog either although a little bumpy.

A cascading waterfall in a horseshoe shape. There is a 5.5 km walkway from Waitangi Treaty ground following the Waitangi River. It can also be reached by car as it is about 5 min drive north of Paihia.

View the iconic Haruru Falls and its unique horse shoe shape, walk the trail from there back to Waitangi, a bush walk which also includes a board walk through the mangroves. It is possible to do the the round walk from either end.

Great walk thru the bush parking in the Waitangi parking lot opposite the treaty grounds and ending up at the falls. Falls themselves aren't Niagara so don't get overly excited but the walk is beautiful and great on a hot day as most of the walk is under the tree canopy. Takes about 45 min- 1 hour each way.

These falls are just a few kilometers along the road from Waitangi to Kerikeri and well worth a visit. They can also be accessed via a wooded walk from Waitangi that follows the river upstream.
