The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

This beautiful and private holiday home is set on a peaceful little farm surrounded by native bush with panoramic wide open views. Sit back, relax and enjoy some quiet days away in this spacious and tastefully furnished studio providing you with a fully equipped kitchen, powerful rain head shower, super comfortable bed and free unlimited wifi. Beaches, hiking tracks, waterholes, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes are very close by. The perfect base for exploring the Coromandel Peninsula.

A comfortable drive away are the east coast beaches, including Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Just 1 hour 20 minutes from Auckland International Airport.

Situated at the start of the Kauearanga Valley with numerous bush walks and river swimming nearby. Close to the rail trail for biking or into town for a coffee. Our AirBnB is a separate, self-contained wing of our beautiful new home in Totara, 3kms south of Thames Township and gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. We are about an hour’s drive from Auckland International Airport and close to the many and varied attractions of the Coromandel and the Waikato Region. Easy access to the Hauraki Rail Trail. From our elevated position there are uninterrupted views over the township, Firth of Thames and the Kauaeranga Valley.

Cabin in the Woods

Sweet little cabin in the woods that we promise is definitely not the start of a B-grade horror flick (unless you're not great with the odd bug and some low-fi living) A bit of a glamping experience - we use solar lights and a camp stove, but there is some pretty great luxury features. Theres now a wee outdoor patio area, extra comfy couches and the valleys finest loft-based chillzone that takes advantage of the awesome views of the surrounding hills.

Welcome to our listing and our family! This is a nice central spot in town, close to Coromandel, Tauranga and Auckland. Ideal for a day trip to Hobbiton, Waitomo caves, Whangamata and many more nice places. We have many lovely cafe's, sushi, take aways and bakeries for you to enjoy. And a pub within walking distance. Coffee, tea and toast will be provide for breakfast.
