The Hideaway - a cosy calm oasis

A cosy, calm oasis set in a spacious garden of fruit trees. This sun filled pad is the perfect base to relax in, or from which to explore Whanganui. The Hideaway is part of the owner’s art studio complex with its own deck. Guests will be greeted by med sized dog! Only 5km from town, facilities include dbl bed, smart TV, fridge, m-wave, toaster, hotplate, washing machine, clothes rack. Tea, coffee, herbal teas and light breakfast provided. Off street parking in drive. Some pets ok if arranged.

The Braeburn

Whanganui Awa became the first waterway in the world to get legal personhood, in 2017. Staying next to her in "The Braeburn" is a rare opportunity to come inside this often admired building. On the second floor in the main wing with a huge exclusive NON SMOKING balcony, is your truly blissful escape. Come watch the sunsets, and pour yourself a drink. Slow down, relax and enjoy. The apartment has a kitchenette, queen bed with a quality new mattress and linen, TV and clawfoot bath. No shower.

Sunset Beach House

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, with amazing views of the sunset. Fully renovated in 2020 Cook a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on your choice of decks to soak up the rural or sea views. Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. Ohakune is an hours drive to enjoy the great walks or skiing. 4 square and laundromat close by

Cozy guest residence

Enjoy this peaceful and cosy well-located space, with access to the beautiful Virginia Lake , quaint guest residence with queen bed & ensuite. Tea and coffee station , with microwave / toaster and mini fridge, heat pump provides instant heat, Smart TV’s x2. Our cosy guest house is located next to the main dwelling by, linked by beautiful decking. We have sectioned a part of the deck off for our guests to enjoy while they are here. The guesthouse is situated well back from the road.

Cottage on Rapanui

Have fun with the whole family at this stylish cottage. It is set in quiet and peaceful surroundings in the country close to town. The views are stunning. You can lie in bed and enjoy the tranquility. On a clear day, you can see Mt Taranaki in the distance. It is only 4 minutes drive to Mowhanau Beach, 11 minutes to the centre of town, Springvale Park, Splash Centre, Jubilee Stadium and Virginia Lake. Note: The pool is presently closed over the winter months due to the cold weather.

Inside, the bach offers a cozy bedroom, comfortable living area with a fire place, fully equipped kitchen and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Plenty of space to park multiple cars, bus, caravan or trailers. 10min to city centre. 15min to Kai iwi beach. 5min to Caroline’s restaurant and bar. 20min to Oceanview Speedway.

The Crib

Comfortable, semi-rural, within 4 minutes of town. Situated on a 3 acre block, this Airbnb is completely separate and offers privacy and convenience. It comes with a well equipped kitchen and breakfast is included. There is a smart Tv and Wifi. There is a locked garage available for storage of items such as bikes or small water craft. There is heaps of parking for trailers etc. Wake up and listen to the bird song - we hope you will love this place as much as we do!

The Red Barn - Rural but close to town.

The Red Barn provides a rural retreat, a quick 7-minute drive to vibrant Whanganui city. Local café and brewery down the road and close to the Windermere Berry Farm. A self-contained cottage set privately in the grounds of our property offering options for whatever break away you are looking for. Sit and relax outside in the sun, or stoke up the fire and chill out, or grab your bike and explore the country roads. Dedicated EV charger, type 2. Secure storage for bikes.

A wonderful 2 bedroom plus study apartment with newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Situated in the grounds of the 100 year old Central Fire Station complex. Electric gates and security lighting provide for a safe and secure off street parking experience. Netflix via the Smart TV, Nespresso coffee and even use Alexa for some background music. Full kitchen and laundry provide a comfort home away from home and 2 Queen size beds mean it can be suitable for 2 couples.
