The accomodation in the shopkeeper's residence has been lovingly restored complete with original heritage features. Welcome to Stanley on the edge of the Victorian Alps. The Stanley Peony Farm features two self contained guest cottages, quaint, peaceful and very much unique for the area. This cottage, named Alice Harding after the well known peony cultivar, is set amongst an established garden with oaks, Japanese maples, liquid ambers, claret ash and tulip trees. The setting provides a great place to relax and unwind whilst enjoying all that this area has to offer.

Downstairs is a sitting room, opening to a garden terrace, a separate kitchen with induction cooktop and bathroom. Beechworth, a historic, 19C, gold-era town, is 4km away.

Sunset over the gentle Spring Creek valley is best viewed from the swing chair of the Spring Creek Seventeen verandah. You could kick the footy from the front porch and land it in the creek it’s that close. On a clear night a gazillion stars will mesmerise you while the creek will sing you to sleep. It’s such a beautiful spot, we never want to leave.
