Troedyrhiw is a sanctuary, a two bedroom, detached, character stone and beamed cottage nestling in a peaceful, wooded valley on the Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire border where nature is thriving. Rustic and comfortable. We are doggie friendly, are happy to welcome well behaved dogs. Troedyrhiw is the perfect base for being in nature, walking, cycling and exploring the scenic areas of this beautiful part Wales. The cottage was built in the 1800's and is a traditional, stone Welsh cottage.

The town itself is bustling but relaxed with a friendly atmosphere. The river and castle are ten minutes walk away. The area is rich for places of outstanding natural beauty Our house is three hundred years old and has a lot of history. It stands just above the town and has some beautiful views over the valley. The cosy cottage - Clydfan

Clydfan (means 'cosy cottage' in Welsh) is one of two south-facing former quarryman's cottages looking toward the Preseli mountains. Originally two-up-two-down, the cottage was extended to the west in the 1970s for a kitchen and bathroom to be added and the two downstairs rooms are now a tiled through lounge. It's small, but set in a large garden; part wild and part lawned, so plenty of places to hide in. Footpaths lead to the slate quarries and to Glogue.

The cottage is part of a 9-acre ex dairy farm. We live in the 200 year old Farm House next door. Excellent base for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast with some of Britain’s best beaches.
