Once we chat about how to responsibly and passively interact with turtles and other sea life, we will walk down to the beach and hit the water! We will take it nice and slow so you have a few moments to get accustomed to your gear and you feel confident enough to enjoy the underwater world. This is a natural sea grass bed, which is why we are blessed with turtles :) Please do remember, however, that this is a completely wild experience and we could never guarantee the sighting of a wild animal. 99 times out of 100 we see several baby and adult turtles per tour! Nuestra experiencia, comienza en nuestra comunidad, Chemuyil, donde nos prepararemos para nuestra aventura. Estamos ubicados a: - 25 minutos aprox. desde Tulum. - 40 minutos aprox. desde Playa del Carmen. - 2 hrs desde Cancún. Si no cuentas con auto o algún medio de transporte para llegar a mi comunidad, no te preocupes, con mucho gusto te explicaré la mejor forma de llegar a nosotros. En compañía de un guía local y en una bicicleta te llevaremos a conocer la selva y tres cenotes que nos han visto crecer, donde hemos aprendido a nadar y donde guardamos muchos secretos de nuestra vida. El desgaste físico en bicicleta es mínimo ya que pasamos más tiempo nadando que en la bicicleta. Durante toda la actividad pedaleamos aprox. 25 minutos en total. La distancia de cenote a cenote son aprox. entre 5-10 minutos. Esta experiencia dura un aprox. de 5 horas. Nosotros nos adaptamos al ritmo de cada grupo y a sus necesidades. You will be able to inmerse in our daily life, to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Bazurto public market and the most important you will have an adventure of how to discover to be a local in Cartagena. We'll start our adventure doing a 45min hike in one of the most iconic mountain peaks of the town, known as the pyramids of "La Cordillera" because of the "triangle like" formations. During the hike, we will take breaks to admire the incredible views and identify several points of interest, like the Bauta river, the Northern Karst region, and other mountain peaks that surround the area. Depending the time and weather, we could be able to see species of birds like the "Pitirre, Guaraguao and Falcón Común". After we finish the hike, we will go to the town center and enjoy one of the top 3 nano breweries of Puerto Rico! Al llegar y tras una breve presentación, saldremos con el guía designado y desde el punto de encuentro Akumal Natura Glamping y visitaremos un refugio de flora y fauna silvestres. Aprenderás acerca de los planes de Rehabilitación, Reproducción y Reintegración de los mas de 85 animales de diferentes especies que albergamos. Tendrás un encuentro muy cercano con varios animales. Siguiendo los lineamientos de Naciones Unidas con respecto al bienestar de animales silvestres. Podrás acercarte y aprenderás con las explicaciones acerca de cada uno de ellos. Podrás conocer el árbol tóxico, el árbol doctor el árbol del chicle, y otros. Plantarás un árbol en la jungla mejorarando así tu huella ecológica. Conocerás la abeja melipona sin aguijón y podrás degustar su miel y aprender un poco mas acerca de la polinización y la vida y costumbres de este insecto declarado recientemente por la ONU el ser vivo mas importante del planeta. Tras la visita emprenderemos al melipona río nos dirigiremos a nuestra unidad de manejo ambiental para conocer de cerca las actividades e iremos por un sendero en la jungla hasta llegar a 200 metros a un magnifico cenote subterráneo donde podrás zambullirte y nadar en sus aguas iluminadas y cristalinas.

On arrival we do a 30 minute hike to the first waterfall & watering hole. There you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water, and scenic waterfall. Further up, after a 15 minute hike (High difficulty level), there is another waterfall with a natural waterslide. We end the trip by stopping for lunch at a local family owned restaurant that serves authentic grandma style food (Food not included in price). The hike for these outdoor wonders requires regular shoes with “good grip” that can get wet and muddy. The trail is very muddy and clothes will get fully wet. NO FLIPS FLOPS OR CROCS ALLOWED. Al comienzo de la clase, empezamos describiendo todos los ingredientes que usaremos mientras compartimos la historia del plato, por qué es tan popular y cómo se presenta normalmente en nuestra región, Cartagena. Como parte de nuestra experiencia, te enseñaremos a preparar un aperitivo y un plato principal de principio a fin, con tus propias manos. Estarás pelando, cortando y sazonando todos los ingredientes según la tradición de Cartagena. Cada persona tendrá la oportunidad de hervir, freír o asar su comida, proporcionándote una experiencia culinaria única mientras degustas los platos que es posible que no hayas tenido la oportunidad de preparar antes. La clase se llevará a cabo tanto en inglés como en español, acompañada de música de fondo que armoniza e integra lo que estás aprendiendo con el contexto cultural e histórico del plato. Al finalizar nuestra clase, disfrutarás de una comida completa que no solo estará deliciosa, sino que también se convertirá en un recuerdo inolvidable de tu viaje a Colombia. Join us for an intimate artisanal mezcal tasting & dinner pairing in our private jungle garden at our home in the center of Tulum Pueblo! Solo travelers, couples & friends are all welcome to our garden where we will prepare a 5-course dinner cooked on the fire paired with 1 ounce tastings of five artisanal, small-batch mezcals sourced from different regions around the country. We create a prix fixe menu using locally sourced ingredients for every experience and are happy to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions that we are notified of in *advance*. Due to the nature of the dinner, we do not disclose the menu beforehand and therefore recommend this experience for adventurous eaters. Throughout the dinner, we will talk about the differences between mezcal and tequila, the process of producing mezcal, what to look for when purchasing mezcal & how it originated. Most importantly, we’ll have a good time sharing food, drinks & conversation with new friends from all over the world! Free Videos, Guided Beginner Tour! Don't know how to swim? That's ok, I specialize in taking beginners out! We will meet for check in at Escambron Beach Park (type into maps or Uber). Once you enter Escambron Beach park's main entrance, you will pass the guard shack(if you are driving you will need to pay for Parking) and continue straight down the road to the very end of the parking lot to the left. Once you arrive, you will see a a red Kiosk and snorkeling equipment. Please check in there 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Once checked in, I will go over a safety briefing and information on the sea life we will encounter. The tour will begin in the shallows where we will be trying on equipment and once comfortable we will begin snorkeling around the famous Escambron Marine park. Make sure you keep an eye out for all of the different sea life at our dive site. Because we are viewing sea life in the ocean not an aquarium, we cannot guarantee you will see sea turtles, however, majority of the time we do. Other things to note This tour was designed for any level of diver, from non swimmers to olympic gold medalists. Make sure you wear your swimwear, bring water, sunscreen and a towel. I do have a place to store your bags while on the tour.
