Multnomah Zen: caminata panorámica por cuatro cascadas
Multnomah Falls and other waterfalls and vistas of the Columbia Gorge are astonishing icons of geology, the sort that have inspired mythology and lore of warriors, gods and passions. We will drive out in our vans to meet the tallest waterfall in the state, and then drive to a few of the shorter but even more stunning ones, too; falls which could only be the daughters and sons of legend. In this half-day experience, we will explore wonders with some short hikes (totaling less than 2.5 miles/4 km) and visits to overlooks and vistas that will have you gasping in awe. While Multnomah Falls and its iconic Benson Bridge are together the most-visited tourist attraction in the Portland area, they are only a part of our experience. We will meet at our shop in inner SE Portland, where we'll ride in our comfortable Sprinter and Transit vans to the nearby gorge. Depending on weather conditions, we will visit a few small hidden waterfalls and spectacular plunge-style falls whose columnar basalt has us learning words for "amazing" in other languages. We'll also tell you stories, geology, botany and oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and wild spirits and about the oldest North American civilization, forever altered by “manifest destiny." Please note we book directly as well as through AirBNB, and your group may be up to 10.
Paseo por el bosque hasta las cataratas
This half day tour is a combination of a moderate 2-hour hike (a few inclines for five minutes) to the Twin Falls close up and a visit to the famous Snoqualmie Falls. The locomotives of the time are still on the railroad tracks and the old depot from the year 1890 is in use till this day. We stop to view the Snoqualmie Falls of 270 feet - followed by driving along Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake - and then drive back to downtown Seattle.

Las famosas cascadas de Oregón desde el aire
**Please note that this is a 35-40 minute (approximate) flight** Join me on an aerial adventures of Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge. The Gorge is a treasure for most living in or near Portland, and on this 35-40 minute flight (approximate) through the “Gorge”, you will see exactly why that is. Plus, you'll understand why it is one of the most visited and photographed natural areas in the Pacific Northwest. The Gorge is home to dozens of cascading waterfalls, and on this tour you’ll fly ast Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls and Horsetail Falls, hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and see why this is an outdoor paradise for millions every year. On the ground it's a breathtaking place, but from the air, it’s unbelievable...plus there are no crowds, and sometimes that can be a HUGE plus. :) Once you arrive we will introduce ourselves and discuss the safety of our experience, grab a free drink, and take a quick bathroom break for the first 15 minutes or so then load up the plane! Afterwards we will take off on a 35-40 minute flight (approximate)! Other things to note: • We fly year-round, rain or shine (as long as it's safe), hot or cold, so please dress accordingly…and be sure to bring a camera :) • Group weight limit can not exceed 600 pounds • Flight times are approximate and may vary based on different factors
Taller de fotografía en pan de oro
Turn your photographs into stunning works of art by applying metal leaf. Working with your photographs from your phone or digital camera we will upload them to my computer, open them in Adobe Lightroom, convert them to black and white, and crop them into squares. Then in the computer we will adjust the contrast and boost the detail, and print them on transparent vellum paper. In the next step we will apply a special adhesive to the back of the vellum and attach the metal leaf, I generally have imitation gold (copper and zinc), silver, and copper leaf to choose from. When they are dry we will seal the metal and treat the vellum with a special fixer, at this point you will have some amazing art. Your work will be suitable for gifts and for display. Prior to the experience you can send me a few images that you might want to use in the workshop, you will want something that translates well into black and white, something with nice detail, and rich blacks. Landscapes, architecture, and nature work well, as do pets and family photos. Whatever you choose we will perform the final adjustments in the studio. Each guest will complete 2 unique images. I have matting supplies available for a small additional fee. This is a relatively easy process, I will send you home with the materials list and step by step instructions. This activity is great for groups.

La truculenta historia de Gastown
Immerse yourself in the chilling dramas of historic Gastown as you venture into Vancouver's earliest and most gruesome history on this 90-minute walking tour. Follow the lamplight of your guide as you discover the terror of a Great Fire that ate up Gastown in minutes, the long forgotten plague of smallpox, and the unsolved murder of John Bray. Designed for adult audiences, the experience is both a walking tour and a theatre piece. Your guide is a professional actor, performing in character throughout. Every story is grounded in documented Vancouver history, taken from the city archives. The plot line is woven together as the tragic tale of one person's life, ending in a dramatic finale in Gastown's Maple Tree Square. Every one of Gastown's must-see sites and landmarks is visited on the walk, the oldest hotel, the Gastown Steam Clock, you’ll see how Vancouver looked before and after the Great Fire, explore notorious Gaoler's Mews, and walk down the back alleys of Water Street to famous Maple Tree Square. Do not expect a ghost tour or conventional walking tour – this is a performance experience that will pull you so deep into the swirling lamplight and darkened alleys of Gastown’s murky past, you may have a hard time finding your way back out…
