Surrounded by countryside on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Coombe, there is a tennis court, playground and dog exercise field about 500m away through the village, a footpath starts just behind the cottage and there are many attractions within 10-30 minute drives including many beaches, Heligan gardens and the Eden Project.

Acorn Barn a unique former cow house

Get away from it all with a cosy stay in a unique little barn conversion on a small holding with poultry, sheep and pigs. Acorn Barn sits at the end of its own driveway across a field set above a small CAMC 5cl. At night you may hear owls in the valley and the usual country noises by day from nearby working farms although the barn itself is double glazed and previous guests haven’t found any noises intrusive. You can see the railway line and look down on the duck pond and watch the poultry.

Our small, but recently restored bolthole is the perfect escape for exploring all areas of Cornwall. Ideally located inland for access to both the north and south coasts, as well as the many pretty Cornish towns and villages, especially the stunning Roseland peninsula nearby. Coombe is a sleepy village, with a permanent community. Nearest amenities, such as shops and pubs are within a 5 minute drive. Our south facing garden and terrace is a delightful sun trap. Our timber studio is perfect for those looking for a base whilst exploring Cornwall. It’s situated at the bottom of our garden with beautiful rural views yet only a 10min drive from the stunning North Cornish coast and 2mins off the A30. The studio has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge and gas hob, king sized bed and shower room. It has its own central heating so is lovely and snug even in winter! Guests can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Dogs considered.
