Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

No.2 West Layton Manor is part of an Historic Victorian Manor House built in 1872. The cottage is in a very quiet part of Haydon bridge ,it’s a 10 minute walk from Haydon bridge railway station .15 minute drive to Hexham ,or 3 minutes to Langley castle ,and 40 mins to Newcastle. Hadrians wall and Housesteads fort is 6 miles away .There is a very private outside sitting area over looking the river Tyne as it flows towards Hexham and onto Newcastle .Within 2-5 minutes walk , there is a fish and chip shop and a CO-OP supermarket , 4 local pubs and a fantastic coffee shop .

The Cart House, Hadrian's Wall country

The Cart House is self contained accommodation accessed via its own front door. It comprises of a comfortable lounge and a small kitchenette with fridge freezer, microwave, sink, airfryer, kettle, toaster and dining table. There is also have a one ring table top hob and a grill. A separate shower room leads off the lounge area. The bedroom includes a king size bed set in the alcove of the original stone entrance. Up to 2 dogs welcome, £10 per dog. *10% discount for stays of 7 days or more*
