Minutes from downtown Waxhaw, Monroe, and 20 minutes to Ballantyne and Waverly, the Little House is close to everything.

the Loblolly getaway

Unplug at the Loblolly. Enjoy peace and quiet in our one bedroom home set on 37 acres of pines bordering many acres of state land. We do not have cable TV, however we have a DVD player with a dresser full of DVD movies! Take a walk. Bring your mountain bikes and hit the state land trails. Sit on the 3 season porch and watch the birds, or read. Eat out on the back patio. We are 20 minutes from Pinehurst, 25 from Rockingham. 5 minutes from interstate 73. Full kitchen plus washer and dryer.

Chauffeur’s Apartment on Historic Property

Enjoy the former chauffeur's quarters located on the grounds of our National Register of Historic Places property with access to the tranquil gardens of the Manor House. The kitchen is complete and the comfortable full-sized bed should provide a good night's rest. Downtown activities are within easy walking distance. There are multiple seating areas to enjoy the extensive gardens on the one acre grounds that are shared with the main property. We cannot host guests under the age of 16.

Burchs Carriage House

Private carriage house sitting adjacent to the most historic estate home in the lovely town of Society Hill. Separate entrance for guests which accommodates large horse trailers. Property caters to all animals! Kitchenette (microwave, toaster oven and hot plate), washer/dryer, Apple TV and wifi. Continental breakfast, wine/snacks provided. BBQ grill also. 2 stalls with paddocks. 12 x 12 and 10 x 12. Rooms are as they would be at your own home, separate from each other. See photo 13.

Charming School Bus Getaway

We are pretty sure you have never stayed in a spot like this. Turning this school bus into a fun and unique stay has been a year-long labor of love for us, and we think you will love it and remember it for years to come. It is tucked away on our property with a relaxing vibe and some beautiful views. It has everything you need for either a short or long stay. Being a bus, it does have features that might not suit all guests, please peruse the photos to see if it looks right for you.

It is 6 miles from the Carolina Hotel/Pinehurst Resort and the famous Pinehurst #2 Golf Course, and 8 miles from the Carolina Horse Park. The lakeside cottage welcomes you to fishing and swimming its spring-fed 9-acre, very clear waters. Enjoy relaxing between activities with easy access wi-fi or tv. An update on this listing. The county is currently working on installing a new waterline on a neighboring road and storing their heavy equipment on the same road as this Airbnb so occasionally throughout the day, especially the morning and evening there are beeping noises from the workers setting up and Ending their day. No complaints so far, but I want everyone to be aware. It hasn’t scared the deer off.
