Welcome To “Little Bear”. Our fully equipped, perfect for two, tiny/studio cabin is brand new and tucked away in a beautiful, wooded, park-like setting. It is close to beautiful Douglas Lake, with an easy 20-25 minute drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature under the covered fire pit in the crisp autumn evenings, soak in the private hot tub for two after a day of exploring, and snuggling up in front of the cozy fire place in the cooler wintry months.

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

You're only 13 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains and close to the Foothills Pkwy, Townsend, Knoxville, Maryville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. It's a cozy spot with a patio dining area, hot tub, fire pits, porch swing, and hammocks.
