Upper Stables is a romantic hideaway nestled in the private countryside of Carclew on the outskirts of Mylor, in easy reach of creeks, beaches and Falmouth. The stables have been lovingly refurbished and boast wood fired hot tub, beams, woodburner, luxurious bathroom - roll top bath and rain shower and a large well equipped kitchen. There are many lovely spots to enjoy; meadow for sundowners, private 1 mile walk - perfect for dog owners, fenced garden with barbecue and fire pit for star gazing.

The beautiful presented accommodation is on one level with a large open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen one end and a wood burning stove the other. A large double bedroom has amazing rural views and there is a second twin bedroom and family bathroom with separate shower area. Guests have free access to the beautiful pool, small gym, sauna and jacuzzi onsite. Just 15 mins walk to a beautiful, dog-friendly beach too! We now have a a smart PAYG EV charging point too!

Unique and perfectly situated coastal retreat

Unwind and relax in this historic gem of a home. There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.
