Lovely cosy little restaurant. It's BYOB but there's a supermarket and an Oddbins not far away where you can purchase your drink of choice. Very tasty tacos

Very cosy and colourful little pub - the kind where you can play board games! It's also the closest pub to my flat, though Leith Walk has too many pubs to count so there's plenty to choose from!

It's right underneath my house and its open until 9pm weekdays. Fresh halaal meat from the butcher counter and, if you go through the back of the store, all sorts of delights from round the world!

Great for a rainy day. It's free and you can discover so much about Scotland's history as well as loads of other stuff. Also good for cafes. Recently renovated, great view from the Tower terrace

Best 360 degrees view for a small amount of climbing effort! I always take visitors here. If you want a more strenuous walk for a great view then head to Arthur's Seat / the Crags

Nice walk in the summer - especially to go through Stockbridge and Dean Village to the Modern Art Galleries I and II. It winds its way through the city from North to South-West.

Nice to browse on a Sunday( it only takes place on Sundays). Often lots of food stalls. There's also a really good farmer's market on Castle Terrace every Saturday from 9am to 2 pm
