This building has been the official residence of Gibraltar's Govenors since 1711. It was once a Franciscan Convent, hence it's name. A guard mount takes place at the entrance during the week.

There is a considerable Jewish community in Gibraltar and the Great Synagogue has the distinction of being one of the oldest in the Iberian Peninsula, dating from 1724. Guided tours can be arranged.

Despite its deceptively Moorish appearance the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Trinity was not laid down until 1825. General Sir George Don under whose direction the Cathedral was built is buried here

This prominent arch was build into the main city wall in 1932 to commemorate the achievements and comradeship of the US Navy and the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Located at Europa Point, this shrine was originally a mosque and converted to a chapel by the Christians in 1462. There is a museum at the Shrine that depicts its long history.
