This center explains the battle & relevance of the Battle of the Boyne which turned the tide of war. You are able to pay to go inside the house and learn of the history of the Battle of the Boyne. There is a nice walk around the centre along the river that loops back to the main gates. For a small part of this walk you have to walk on the main road. Parking is available. Nice place to have a picnic, chill out and let the kids run around.

This center explains the battle & relevance of the Battle of the Boyne which turned the tide of war. You are able to pay to go inside the house and learn of the history of the Battle of the Boyne. There is a nice walk around the centre along the river that loops back to the main gates. For a small part of this walk you have to walk on the main road. Parking is available. Nice place to have a picnic, chill out and let the kids run around.

Great spot for a bit of nature and light hiking. You can go off trails into deep forest areas with streams and rivers throughout the woods. From the main car park it is a fairly steep initial climb-50mtrs. Then you can walk as far as you like. Lots of trails.
Dun Na Ri Forest Park - Lovely place to go for a walk or run. Great day out for kids or romantic stroll- bring a picnic. Loads of space for them to run around. Only few minutes drive from Kingscourt town and Cabra Castle. I would suggest going for a walk in Dun na Ri and heading over to Cabra Castle for lunch or dinner.
