Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

Situated 10 min drive to Dumfries town centre and 5 min drive to supermarkets and amenities makes it the perfect rural stay , yet within reach of local hospitality and history. We welcome max of 2 well behaved pets at a cost of £20 per pet per stay.

Shorepark Holiday Cottage is a delightful waterside cottage with stunning views, overlooking the estuary of the River Nith on the edge of Glencaple village, within a National Scenic Area. The old part of the house was originally a fisherman’s cottage built in the 1700’s, with its original beams, and the open plan modern extension gives a stunning panoramic view of the river, the birdlife and the landscape beyond. It makes an ideal base for exploring beautiful Dumfries & Galloway.

Woodend is a beautiful cottage set in a semi rural setting, with stunning aspects from all bedrooms and sitting room. Part of the beauty of Woodend is even though you are surrounded by fields, it’s only a stroll into Dumfries town centre (20 mins). Prices inclusive of Airbnb 15% service fee.

Kirkland Cottage

Kirkland Cottage is completely self-contained and is attached to our main house in an enclosed, secluded and large garden. Although only two miles from Dumfries Town Centre it is in a quiet, rural location. There is ample parking beside the cottage and a lockable room for storage of bicycles and other leisure equipment. The cottage provides a great base from which to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the immediate locality.

Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.

Light, bright, with a large garden looking onto the fields beyond- snowdrops in the spring, cherries in summer, and apples in autumn. The occasional escapee hen wandering about.
