The cottage offers wooden floors, a newly fitted kitchen, log burning stove and a large freestanding bath. Walking and cycling routes are available on your doorstep and after a long busy day the garden or local pub await. The village has a range of amenities including a well stocked village store, farm shop, a tea room and two public houses.

Dove Cottage is a former Victorian fishing lodge in a unique setting on the banks of the river Dove. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.
