Tawny Owl Barn

Tawny Owl Barn is a 200-year-old, grade 2 listed, tastefully converted barn in the village of Leintwardine. A large garden is available for our guests which has a wildlife pond and waterfall and another barn with an open fire available for sitting around. Rooms are spacious, well furnished, and well-equipped. There is a large kitchen/diner and lounge plus two bedrooms with en-suites. A large lounge settee can also be used as a double bed. There are two pubs and shop within walking distance.

This newly refurbished studio flat is in the depths of South Shropshire, just below an Iron Age hill fort; a beautiful rural setting. It has private entrance via your own balcony and footpaths from the garden gate - bring walking boots! We are off grid and remote (but with wifi and newly fitted kitchen area) - perfect for peace, tranquility, bird watching and star gazing. Walk 45 minutes to Clun; drive 30 mins to historic Ludlow. We're half a mile from the road, reached by a track.

Our holiday apartment occupies the top floor of the Old Vicarage, a grade 2 listed Georgian house with much older roots, located directly behind the church of St John the Baptist in the heart of the historic market town of Bishops Castle. From its lofty location guests can enjoy far reaching views over the town and hills beyond. Only a few steps to the nearest pub, shops, eateries and with immediate access to the Shropshire Way and many other walking and cycling routes.
